SPADURA: A One-Woman Launch Campaign
Writer · Publicist · Social Strategist · Talent (all one person)
Tension
A national streaming release, and no marketing department: just me, a producer, a publicist, and a launch date.
Strategy
Don't manufacture a story. Find the one that's already true, then get out of its way.
Idea
Let the realest post carry the campaign.

Dahéli Hall's Acclaimed One-Woman Comedy Film SPADURA Debuts September 1st on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and More via Comedy Dynamics
"SPADURA follows Dahéli's unfiltered, hilarious, and deeply personal journey through infertility and IVF... she unapologetically confronts the baby industrial complex, the physical and financial brutality of fertility treatment, and the unique obstacles faced by Black women in America."
Two weeks in, one post (about my Jamaican-Haitian identity and my "Ja-Haitia-Pino" family) was outperforming everything else by a wide margin. Instead of moving on to the next post in the queue, I flagged it to the distributor and we both leaned in. I ran the same instinct on my own family: a post about my parents' wedding anniversary, tied straight back to the special's origin story, which the distributor picked up and offered to co-promote.
